A programme of roadworks is set to begin in the County Armagh village of Blackwatertown.
Work on the £450,000 resurfacing scheme will extend approximately 2.7 kilometres from Blackwatertown Village to approximately 150 metres south east of the Tullysaran Road junction.
This investment will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the rural road network.
Work will begin on Monday 27 September and run until Friday 15 October. To facilitate the works, it will be necessary to implement a road closure which will be in place from 9am until 6pm each day during these dates. The road will be open evenings and at weekends.
During periods of closure traffic will be diverted via the Moy Road, Armagh Road, Charlemont Road and Main Street, Blackwatertown.
Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained although some delays may be experienced.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the closure.
