A programme of roadworks is set to take place just outside Poyntzpass in County Armagh next month.
The £429,000 scheme will see Tannyoky Road resurfaced over 2.9km from Rathconvil Road junction to the Lisraw Road junction.
Work will begin on Monday 04 October and is expected to be complete by Friday 15 October.
A weekday road closure will be implemented throughout from 9am to 6pm to facilitate the works. During periods of closure traffic will be diverted via the Tannyoky Road, Clare Road, Cloghoge Road, Markethill Road, Scarva Road, Aughlish Road, Chapel Street, Meeting Street and Tannyoky Road.
Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained although some delays may be experienced.
Commenting on the scheme, Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon said: "This significant investment will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the rural road network to the benefit of all who use it. I would like to thank local residents and businesses in advance for their cooperation and ask that they comply with all temporary traffic restrictions while these much needed works are completed."
