Plans have been announced for a £137,000 road scheme in Ballynahinch.
The Department for Infrastructure will lead resurfacing work on the Burn Road, stretching from the B2 Dromore Road to the B177 Ballynahinch Road for 2.1 km.
Work will get underway on Monday 29 November and is expected to be fully complete by Friday 14 January.
During these dates a weekday road closure will be in place from 8am to 6pm to facilitate the improvements. A signed diversionary route will be in place using Dromore Road - Riverside Road - Ballynahinch Road and vice versa. Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Road users should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time when travelling in the vicinity of the works and are asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions.
Announcing the works, Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon said: "This significant investment will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the road network to the benefit of local residents and those who travel through the area. I would like to thank the public and local residents in advance for their cooperation and ask that they comply with all temporary traffic restrictions while these much needed works are completed."
