Farrans has continued its support of community organisations, handing out Christmas donations to five different charities this year.
The Northern Ireland-based contractor have donated funds to aid those who are facing homelessness, poverty and illness in the UK and Ireland.
A total of £5,000 has been given to the following five groups:
• The Trussell Trust – Stop UK Hunger
• Simon on the Streets – Providing hope for those without a voice
• Aberdeen Foyer – Supporting people in the North East of Scotland towards independent living, learning and work
• Cork Penny Dinners – Currently serving up to 2000 freshly made meals per week
• Cancer Fund for Children – Support for children living with cancer.
Farrans' projects continue to make donations of their own to community organisations.
Teams in Banbridge and Botanic Link donated over 25 coats for Belfast Homeless Services. Library Street donated 10 laptops to NI Youth Forum and over £100 worth of food has been donated to Camden Foodbank by the Highgate Community Centre project team. Camden Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust's network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK.
