A key route in Belfast leading into Edenderry village is set to close for improvements.
Approximately £25,000 is being invested in the resurfacing scheme on Edenderry Road, extending from Ruby Cottages to the Ballynahatty Road.
Work will begin on Monday 14 February and is expected to be completed by the end of the week, Friday 18.
Week day road closures will be in place between 9am and 5pm throughout, excluding Wednesday. There is no diversionary route as this is the only road into Edenderry Village. Residents are asked to time their journeys to the start and end of the work time.
Preparation work is programmed for the Monday and Tuesday and the contractor should be able to accommodate some movement of through traffic with some delay. However there will be delays on Thursday once the resurfacing machinery is on site as the machinery takes up the full width of this rural road.
Road users should allow additional time when planning their journey and comply with all temporary traffic restrictions.
