A meeting has been held between Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey and representatives from the two main football bodies over the uncertainty surrounding the £40 stadia funding.
This comes after Minister Hargey revealed she could not move forward with the funding package following the collapse of the NI Executive and absence of the First and Deputy First Ministers.
The Minister met with the Irish Football Association and NIFL yesterday, 17 February, to discuss the issue.
"I welcomed the opportunity to reaffirm my commitment and intention to deliver this much needed scheme which will benefit football at all levels," said Minister Hargey. "Today I have met with representatives of IFA and NIFL and together we will work to progress this project to the next stage."
