Key water network improvements are continuing to improve supply in Dublin City.
Irish Water is working closely with Dublin City Council to deliver improvements on Blessington Street as part of the national utility's Leakage Reduction Programme.
Matt Thompson, Water Network Programme Lead with Irish Water, said: "These works will involve the replacement of nearly 200m of aged cast iron water mains with new modern pipes. These works are part of a significant investment by Irish Water to safeguard the water supply across Dublin City and we are delighted to progress this important project along Blessington Street. The new water mains will significantly reduce the number of bursts and outages, improving the water supply to homes and businesses for years to come.
"We understand this type of work can be inconvenient and we will ensure our crews make every effort to minimise any disruption these upgrade works might cause."
The works, being carried out by GMC Utilities Group on behalf of Irish Water, are due to start on Monday 25 April and are expected to be completed by the end of May.
