A deal has been struck to develop a flood relief scheme for the community of Clifden in County Galway.
Jacobs Engineering Ireland has been appointed to deliver the project, which is currently at Stage 1 (Scheme Assessment, Development, and Design). This will be delivered on behalf of Galway County Council and the Office of Public Works
There is a history of repeat flooding in Clifden, and the development of this scheme would help to alleviate the risk of flooding for the community in the future.
A Public Information Day event will be held on the 20 April between 1pm-7pm in the Clifden Station House Hotel in Clifden.
Galway County Council is inviting feedback from members of the public and interested stakeholders from the Clifden Community on the development of the Clifden Flood Relief Scheme.
Comments and feedback can be submitted at the Public Information Day to project representatives or through a feedback form provided at the information day.
All feedback received will be reviewed and considered during Stage 1.
