The boil water notice on the Ballydaggin public water supply in County Wexford has been lifted.

This decision was made after the completion of remedial works on the supply and receipt of satisfactory monitoring results. It follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive.

Speaking about the lifting notice, Irish Water's Pat Duggan said: "Following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Wexford County Council issued a boil water notice on the Ballindaggin Public Water Supply Scheme on the 9th March 2022. We would like to thank the community of Ballindaggin for their patience and cooperation as we worked to lift the notice as soon as it was safe to do so. All consumers on the Ballindaggin Public Water Supply Scheme can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth."

Irish Water and the Wexford County Council - Health Service Executive, Water Local Liaison Group will continue to meet and review ongoing process control, monitoring and testing of the drinking water supply.
