A number of teams from Northern Ireland architect practices have raised over £4,000 for local cancer research.
Three relay teams from Todd Architects, two teams from HLM Architects and one team from McCreanor Company Architects took part in the Belfast Marathon, completing the 26.2 mile course. In addition, Paul McCreanor and Shaun Hegarty completed the marathon solo.
The practices were raising money for Friends of the Cancer Centre via Ask An Architect – the RSUA's annual charity initiative, run in partnership with The Jill Todd Trust. The scheme ordinarily asks architects to give up their time for appointments with the public who pay a £40 consultation fee. This fee is donated and helps fund vital cancer research in Northern Ireland.
The pledges received via the practices Just Giving pages totalled £4,384.78 when donations came to close.
