A programme of paving works is set to begin in the County Cavan town of Virginia starting next week.
Contractor S Wilkin & Sons will begin work on the Cavan Road on Monday 16 May.
This is the second part of the construction process for the Virginia Traffic Calming and Pavement Scheme. The undergrounding of all the ESB and Eir infrastructure has been completed and the new streetlights were erected in phase one of the scheme.
Works are scheduled to take place between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. To facilitate these works some parking spaces will not be available to members of the public for the duration of the works. Pedestrian access will be maintained to each property via pedestrian ramps. Delivery of goods will be facilitated as and when required where possible. It is expected that this phase of the works will have a minimal impact on traffic flow through the town.
Dean Moore is the contractor's Foreman on the ground and will endeavour to ensure disruption will be kept to a minimum. Dean can be contacted on 0830102201 or by email at [email protected].
