The water supply has been restored to the vast majority of customers in Crosshaven and surrounding areas following network investigations.
Irish Water and Cork County Council collaborated to restore supply for local customers after an unplanned outage was caused by a burst on the network and an issue at the pumping station earlier this week.
A tanker will remain on-site at 'The Glen' Crosshaven as an alternative water supply.
Niall O'Riordan, Operations Lead with Irish Water, said: "We again apologise for this unplanned outage. The vast majority of customers should have their water supply returned now. However, it may take a little bit longer for some customers on the edge of the network to have their water supply returned. The alternative water supply will remain in place until this afternoon at The Glen in Crosshaven.
"As the water supply returns, there may be some temporary discolouration of water and occasionally issues such as internal airlocks. For helpful tips on what to do following an outage, including clearing airlocks, visit the Irish Water website at www.water.ie."
