Members of the public have been invited to help shape Northern Ireland's Waste Management Strategy.

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs is hosting a Workshop on Thursday 29 September (9.30am—2pm) at Greenmount College Campus.

DAERA has begun work to develop a new Waste Management Strategy following publication of a target in the Environment Strategy to publish a new Strategy by 2023. The Strategy will cover new recycling and landfill reduction targets and incorporate new policy developments since 2013, such as a deposit return scheme for cans and bottles and extended producer responsibly schemes for priority waste streams like electrical goods and textiles.
