A programme of roadworks is set to begin in Lisburn starting next week.
The Department for Infrastructure is investing £221,000 to improve the Ballinderry Road/Lissue Road/Moneybroom Road crossroads.
Work will begin on Monday 03 October and is expected to take 12 weeks to reach completion.
The scheme will enhance road safety at this busy junction by improving sightlines, widening and resurfacing existing footways, upgrading road markings and road signs and introducing high friction surfacing along Lissue Road on its approach to the B104 Ballinderry Road.
Some localised road and lane closures will be implemented on the Lissue, Ballinderry and Moneybroom Roads throughout the works. Temporary traffic control will be in operation.
Road users should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time for their journey.
