Work is set to begin to improve a key carriageway in the County Down village of Dromara.
The Department for Infrastructure is investing £127,000 in the project, which will see a section of Begny Hill Road resurfaced between Hillhead Road and Park Road.
Work will get underway on Monday 24 October and is expected to reach completion by Friday 25 November.
To facilitate the works it will be necessary to implement weekday road closures throughout between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
During these times a signed diversionary route will be in place using the Dromara Road - Ballymacarn Road - Burren Road - Stewarts Road and vice versa. Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times.
The Department has programmed the work operations and traffic management arrangements to minimise inconvenience, however, road users should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time when travelling in the vicinity of the works and are asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions.
