One of the UK and Ireland's fastest-growing clothing retailers Tessuti has announced plans for a flagship store in Dublin.
The retailer of high-end clothing, footwear, and accessories has reached a deal to take on a prime 21,500 ft² space in Jervis Shopping Centre, formerly occupied by Topshop.
The addition of Jervis will bring Tessuti's total number of stores to 35, including stores in iconic cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, and Leeds. Established in 1985, the retailer has ambitious expansion plans including the launch of a prime store at Belfast's Victoria Square this year and a further flagship in Glasgow in 2023.
Tessuti has agreed to take a new long-term lease and is due to open for Easter 2023. The Jervis shopping centre, built in 1996, has continued to be a market leader in offering customers some of retail's largest footprint stores and quality brands. With over 80 retail and F&B offerings, Car Parking and the Luas on its doorstep it continues to be a beacon for north Dublin retail.
Darragh Cronin of Savills, who represented the Landlord commented: "The news of Tessuti coming to not only Ireland but Jervis is a long awaited and fantastic addition to Dublin's city centre. With the city centres retail scene thriving after the Covid closures this will be an excellent new destination for the area. With the arrival of JD to the centre several years prior the core trading pattern of Henry Street/Mary Street shifted. Tessuti will now add to the nucleus of fashion retailing adjacent to JD, Penney's, Pull and Bear, New Look, Stradivarius, Arnott's and Zara."
James Air, Head of Group Acquisitions at Tessuti, added: "We are thrilled to be bringing Tessuti to the heart of Dublin's shopping district, in such a large and prominent store. Our access to so many luxury and premium brands will mean we can bring something completely new to the city. The latest Tessuti store concept is unparalleled and has been extremely well received in our other new stores. We are aiming to go bigger and better in Dublin."
