Deal Agreed For Milehill Burial Ground Project

The new Milehill Burial Ground project serving Ballinrobe and The Neale in County Mayo has taken a major step forward.

Local contractor Kevin Madden from John Madden & Sons signed contracts with Mayo County Council for the project.

Work will commence on site in January and is replacing the existing burial ground in Ballinrobe which is approaching capacity.

It is anticipated that it will be completed in Summer 2023. It will contain several green and sustainable initiatives to promote composting and waste recycling on site as well as cycle parking.
