Northern Ireland lazing and façade specialist, Topglass has celebrated a landmark fundraising campaign for its charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Toomebridge-based company held various fundraising initiatives to raise vital funds for the charity over the course of the year.

Topglass' Managing Director, Mark Mitchell said: "We are delighted by the charitable efforts of our staff in support of Macmillan. Unfortunately many of us have been impacted by cancer, either directly or through loved ones, therefore the cause really resonated with our team. This has been our most successful fundraising year to date, so we are very proud of everyone's efforts. We were also pleased to be able to welcome our Macmillan representative, Joanne Young, to our offices for the presentation of the funds raised."

Joanne Young, Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager added: "We are delighted to have worked with Topglass this year and really appreciate all they have done to support local people who are living with cancer. The cost of living with cancer is in crisis. At a time when their health should be their number one priority, too many people living with cancer are telling us that it's money. 1 in 4 people with cancer feel like they just 'can't afford life' at the moment. People living with cancer are really struggling to cope with the additional financial pressures they are facing. The funds raised by Topglass really will give a lifeline to local people."

Topglass is part of the Rathbane Group and a sister company of MJM Marine, a leading international specialist in cruise ship refurbishment and Mivan, one of Northern Ireland's best-known fit-out businesses working in the luxury land and marine sectors across the world.
