Comber Car Park To Close For Environmental Works

Work is progressing well on an environmental improvement scheme at Comber Leisure Centre Car Park in County Down.

A phased closure of the car park will take place from Wednesday 08 to Friday 17 March to complete the works.

Since January, contractors have been working on an environmental improvement scheme at the car park located adjacent to Comber Leisure Centre. They have worked to minimise disruption as far as possible but now require a larger scale closure, in two phases, to order to complete surfacing work.

Phase 1 will see an area closed from Wednesday 08 to Monday 13 March to allow planing off and resurfacing. Pedestrian access to the leisure centre will be maintained, as will vehicle access to section of works already surfaced and lined.

Phase 2 involves the closure of a further section from Tuesday 14 until Friday 17 March. All other areas, including Phase 1, will be reopened at this time.
