Limerick City Shortlisted For All-Island Best Kept Town

Construction News Image
Limerick city has been nominated in the The All-Island Best Kept Town Competition for the first time since 2017.

The competition recognises the great pride people have in their own communities all across the island.

Adjudication will take place some time in May and will be closely followed the National Tidy Towns adjudication in June. How public buildings are presented is important along with business and residential areas.

Limerick City and County Council together with Limerick City Centre Tidy Towns group are calling on everyone in the city centre to make every effort possible to present their homes and business premises in the best light possible over the coming months.

Chair of Limerick City Tidy Towns, Helen O'Donnell added: "This nomination is wonderful recognition of the efforts of Limerick's dedicated Tidy Towns volunteers. Together with Council staff our volunteers are dedicated to keeping litter off the city streets and showcasing Limerick as the unique and beautiful city that it is."
