Leading Northern Ireland contractor Irwin M&E has kicked off the development of a new office in Portadown.
The site of the former LIDL store on the Armagh Road was acquired, with extension and reconfiguration works set to start this month.
Driven by continuous growth over the past five years, the investment in this new office will see the firm's two existing offices in Portadown merge within a modern work environment. The new office will boast bright, spacious work areas, a large stores area and research and development areas.
Keith Stewart, Irwin M&E Managing Director, said: "The business is currently operating out of two offices in Portadown. We look forward to bringing everyone together under one roof in bright, new office work spaces, stores and research and development areas. The move to 21 Armagh Road will also enable us to continue to grow our employee numbers and facilitate new M&E service offerings. We start the refurbishment this month and hope to be moving in early next year. It is an exciting time for the business, with a full order book for the next two years and beyond. As well as investing in a new building, we have many ongoing training initiatives, including apprenticeships, manager development, bespoke training plans, digital transformation, renewables, leadership and engineer innovation days."
