Masterplan For Belturbet Heritage Railway Complex In Development

Work is commencing to prepare a masterplan which will inform the future development of the Belturbet Heritage Railway complex in County Cavan.

Cavan County Council is leading the project, while also preparing a feasibility study for the provision of a community, enterprise, and tourism hub in Belturbet.

The purpose of the Masterplan is to identify suitable locations for a proposed community, enterprise, and tourism hub, as well as create a plan for the future of the Belturbet Heritage Railway complex.

The Masterplan is at an early stage and an important part of the plan preparation is engagement with the local community and property owners/tenants.

Cavan County Council is holding a public consultation evening on the Belturbet Masterplan Project in the Town Hall Civic Centre, on the evening of Wednesday 03 May 2023, from 8pm to 10pm. A questionnaire will be available at the public consultation.
