The Rathenraw Community Centre in Antrim is set to undergo a major restoration.
Work has begun to replace the roof on the building. This will be brought to life by architect firm Taggarts and construction company McCusker Contracts Ltd.
An event was held to mark the beginning of the project, with Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross in attendance alongside Council officers and representatives from the project team.
The project will take approximately six weeks and will see the ageing roof replaced with insulated roofing panels. This will ensure an significant community asset, which is utilised by local community organisations and is home to Rathenraw Youth Scheme, can continue to provide a valuable service to local community.
