The Active Travel Network in Dublin City is set to be improved with insight from members of the public.
Consultations have opened on the Fitzwilliam Quay to Londonbridge Road and Beatty's Avenue to Herbert Park Active Travel Network schemes.
The Dodder Greenway-Fitzwilliam Quay to Londonbridge Road and Beatty's Avenue to Herbert Park scheme is one of the many projects being implemented as part of Dublin City Council's Active Travel Network.
Over the next eight years, the Active Travel Network will grow from its existing 10km to a connected network of 310km across the city. This will enhance quality of life by improving access, connectivity and sustainable mobility for all, whilst reducing transport-related carbon emissions.
The Fitzwilliam Quay to Londonbridge Road and Beattys Avenue to Herbert Park schemes will contribute to an increase in walking, wheeling and cycling along 1km of the Dodder Greenway corridor.
The Dodder Greenway schemes will provide quality, protected cycling facilities to cater for all ages and abilities along the Dodder River. It will also facilitate a more active lifestyle for all ages bringing multiple benefits for physical and mental wellbeing.
