Funding of over €57,000 has been pledged under Fingal County Council's Summer Projects Programme.
This project will see over 30 Community Groups and Services secure funding through the Community & Sports Division's Summer Projects Funding Scheme. Participating projects will deliver a supervised programme of recreational and educational activities for young people during the summer period including environmental awareness, civic awareness and integration.
Speaking at the launch, Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Howard Mahony said: "It is a great opportunity for Fingal County Council to support our community groups and services to provide a variety of child-focused activities across varying areas of needs in Fingal."
Robert Burns, Director of Housing and Community Development commented: "Through this funding, we want to support both established community groups and the development of resources and groups within localities. This is very much a children-friendly programme supporting a wide variety of child-focused activities across communities."
