The Killagan P-Way Railway Compound Upgrade Project has moved forward with a key appointment.

FP McCann has signed a contract to serve as Main Contractor on the project.

The existing compound is located on the Killagan Road adjacent to Killagan Level Crossing outside Glarryford at the site of the old Killagan Station and Goods Shed which was closed to passengers in 1973.

The project involves the refurbishment of an existing Translink yard with the aim of increasing the yard capacity, improve security, improve safety for vehicles accessing/egressing the site and to provide infrastructure for the future construction of a rail maintenance vehicle access point.
