Work To Commence On Street Lighting Scheme In Newtownards

Work is to commence on a street lighting replacement scheme in Newtownards tomorrow, Wednesday 21 June.

The scheme on Frances Street will install a total of 14 new street lighting columns with new LED lights on both sides of the carriageway between Castle Place and up to Zion Place Roundabout. The work will also include full replacement of all the underground cables.

All work involving lane closures will be carried out during off peak times Monday to Friday between 17.30 – 23.30. Some delays may be expected and additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.

The scheme is expected to be completed by mid July 2023.
