Contractor Farrans Construction is making significant progress on a major water improvement scheme in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.
Currently, more than 60% of the pipeline has been built, with over 2.8km of pipeline installed along the Thomastown Road and the Ballylucas Road.
Work on the Belfast Road will start on 17 July for approximately 18 weeks. Pipelaying will begin at the intersection with the Lough Yoan Road and end at the Old Enniskillen Road.
Signage and traffic management will be in place throughout the work.
Eimear McDaid, NI Water Project Manager said: "We are pleased to announce that this major Water Improvement Project, which will greatly benefit customers in the wider Enniskillen area, is progressing well.
"The project will improve the robustness and resilience of the local water supply infrastructure, which will be particularly important during the winter months and other unplanned events, such as a water supply interruption, to ensure maximum security of supply for our customers in the local area."
