Essential routine maintenance work is now complete at the Innishannon Water Treatment Plant in Cork.
The work was delayed due to an industrial strike, however the plant is now in full production and the water supply has been restored to consumers in Innishannon, Kinsale, Crossbarry, Dunderrow, Riverstick, Ballinadee, Fivemilebridge, Belgooly, Ballinhassig , Ballygarvan and the surrounding areas.
In a statement Uisce Éireann said: "Our priority during the dispute was the protection of public health and the environment through the delivery of safe, secure and sustainable water services and we did everything within our power to maintain safe water services and minimise disruption, where possible."
