Water has been restored to most of the affected customers in Knappagh Beg, Lankill areas, however it may be today, 18 July, before the network refills and a normal water supply returns to customers.
Water tankers will remain in Aughagower village until the water supply is fully restored in the area.
Colette Scahill, Operations Lead at Uisce Éireann, said: "We understand the inconvenience an outage can have on customers, and we appreciate their co-operation."
