VIOTAS, a leading smart grid company based in Limerick, has partnered WEL Networks, a electricity provider in New Zealand.
The collaboration aims to revolutionise the energy landscape and drive innovation in the field of smart grid solutions.
Garth Dibley, Chief Executive of WEL Networks, said: "We decided on VIOTAS as the preferred supplier due to its advanced technology, the speed of operation and most of all, the real time demand insights it provides to operational staff."
Duncan O'Toole, Commercial Director at VIOTAS, said: "VIOTAS is marking 10 years in business this year. From humble beginnings with three employees operating out of a box room in Limerick, we've grown to be recognised as a leader in the power Demand Response space due to our continuous investment in R&D. This year we celebrated our hundredth employee joining us and we currently have a number of varied roles open across the business.
"While the company continually evolves and innovates, our mission to democratise energy and enable a sustainable future through developing the most advanced smart grid technologies remains consistent. Our technologies allow businesses to earn revenue and help balance the use of renewable energy in the grid.
"We are delighted to be working with WEL Networks in New Zealand. We have an ambitious strategic plan to continue to grow our business and provide high-quality employment, especially in Limerick and the Mid-West."
