Work Starts On Resurfacing Scheme In Moneymore

Work has started on a resurfacing scheme on the A31 Smith Street and Magherafelt Road, Moneymore.

The resurfacing works will extend from the mini roundabout on the A29 Lawford Street / High Street for 820 metres to Gallion Heights. The resurfacing works will deliver significant improvements to both the structural integrity and surface quality of this road for many years to come.

Two-way traffic will be maintained via lane closures under traffic signal control until Saturday 23 September, between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm each day,.

During these times a two-way signed diversionary route will be in place via the A29 from Moneymore to Maghera, the A6 Glenshane Road to Castledawson Roundabout and A31 Magherafelt Bypass. Local access within the works will be facilitated.

the work is expected to be completed by 23 September.
