Construction company Farrans has been shortlisted in two categories of the All-Ireland Sustainability Awards.
The awards will take place at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on the 5 October.
Selected from over 225 entries across the Ireland, the two categories Farrans has been shortlisted for are the Net-Zero Initiative award and the Waste, Resource Management and Circular Economy Initiative award.
The Net-Zero Initiative award focuses on the development and/ or the delivery of ambitious decarbonisation strategies. Those who entered were required to demonstrate how they would significantly reduce emissions within their organisation.
The Waste Management and Circular Economy award recognises initiatives that intend to lead an increase in waste and resource reduction, whilst increasing recycling and reuse. As well as those with a greater focus on the circular economy.
Aiming to ensure no net loss of biodiversity, Farrans hopes to prevent pollution and protect habitats.
