Farrans Construction and JV partner Sacyr welcomed 200 Civil Engineering and Project Management students to the new Belfast Grand Central Station.
The new multi-modal Transport Hub will replace the existing Europa and Great Victoria Street bus and rail stations.
Farrans Construction and JV partner Sacyr are delivering the main works alongside Translink.
Students from Ulster University, Queen's University Belfast and the University of Galway visited the site as part of a Welcome Week session supported by CIHT.
Alongside the site tour, the students got to test out a Virtual Reality model of Belfast Grand Central Station. There was also opportunities to network with the FSJV team and service teams regarding future career opportunities.
Project partners Arup, Arcadis, Graham and Babcock all took part in the open day.
This new hub will cater to a greater capacity as it contains 26 bus stands, eight railway platforms and enhanced cycling and walking connectivity. With an aim to encourage greener, active travel in Belfast.
Delivered as part of the project, the Weavers Cross development will regenerate the lands around the transport hub and facilitate economic growth and urban regeneration.
