Progress has been made on Antrim's £4.9 million Workplace Hub ahead of an early 2024 launch.
The 16,000 square foot High Street facility is located in the former Wellworths building and will create a new flexible space to support start-ups, entrepreneurs and other business users.
As the project is part-financed by £1.2 million funding from the UK Levelling Up Fund,
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor, Mark Cooper BEM, welcomed a visit by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Area Lead, Jenny Martin.
Joined by Antrim Elected Members and Jennifer McWilliams of Antrim Enterprise Agency, the Council's Deputy Director of Regeneration, Steven Norris, took the group on a tour of the site.
Mark Cooper BEM said: "This impressive transformation is part of regeneration plans to revitalise Antrim town centre as well as bring people into the heart of the town to enjoy all it has to offer. I’m delighted on how much progress has been made and would applaud all those who have been working hard to make it happen. The finished hub will be an asset to Antrim and to our Borough."
