Dublin City Council Tackles Bubble Wrap Waste

Dublin City Council has launched a pilot collaboration with Green Bubble to install a bubble wrap bin and tackle wastage.

The bubble wrap bin will be located in Dublin City Council Civic Offices where staff members will be able to deposit bubble wrap in the bin which can be reused.

In line with Dublin's Draft Climate Action Plan and the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan to 2024, Dublin City Council is encouraging staff members to dispose of bubble wrap from their home or office in the new bin. This initiative will help contribute to a cleaner, greener council, and embed the circular economy within Dublin City Council's buildings and operations.

Green Bubble is a local circular economy enterprise focused on sustainability. In partnership with Sunflower Recycling, Green Bubble collects used bubble wrap, cleans, sorts and arranges it for repeat us.
