Essential Works Begin On Galway's Water Network

Uisce Éireann has partnered with Galway County Council to carry out essential works on Slieveroe Water Storage Tower.

The maintenance works will protect the water supply of homes and businesses supplied by Kilkerrin Moylough.

Whilst the works are ongoing, customers in the Kilkerrin and Moylough areas may experience intermittent loss of pressure and/or temporary disruption to their water supply from 3.30pm today (2 November) until 7.00am tomorrow morning (3 November).

Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, Justin Doran said: "This essential maintenance work at the main Slieveroe Storage Water Tower is necessary to continue to provide a safe and reliable supply to customers in the Kilkerrin and Moylough areas. Works were originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 1 November, however they have now been rescheduled to take place later this week due to adverse weather conditions and to ensure the works are undertaken safely.

"Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when planned works like this occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works."
