Sinn Féin has said that an Assembly is required now to tackle homelessness and support a plan to build social and affordable homes to ensure everyone has a secure place to live.
The party's Housing spokesperson, Ciara Ferguson MLA made the comments at an event which marked the foundation of Homeless Connect.
In a statement, Ciara Ferguson MLA said:
"More must be done to tackle homelessness across our society.
"We need a new Assembly that is focused on fixing housing and working to ensure that everyone has a secure roof over their head.
"And an Executive that delivers over 100,000 social and affordable homes in every community over the next 15 years.
"Working together with organisations like Homeless Connect and other housing groups is key to shaping legislation and tackling homelessness."
