Lidl Northern Ireland has officially opened its new £8 million future-focused flagship Strabane store.
The store occupies a site size of 2,100 square metres which includes a retail sales floor of 1,420 square metres. This new store prioritises sustainability and energy efficiency with a range of environmentally friendly features including an ISO 50001-certified Energy Management System, solar panels and two EV car charging stations in its 130-space car park.
Reinforcing Lidl Northern Ireland’s position as a leader in sustainable construction, the new Strabane store will be the first retail outlet in the region to utilise a version of Kingspan insulated roof panels which are lower in embodied carbon, as part of its commitment to exceeding the RIBA 2025 embodied carbon targets
Inside the store there are wider aisles, longer checkouts and new restrooms with baby changing facilities.
This is the second store delivered as part of Lidl Northern Ireland's longstanding commitment to drive a £26 million investment in the Northwest.
