The Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA) has highlighted two architectural opportunities to support the local community.
The first opportunity is a site development plan for Corrymeela Community Centre in Ballycastle. The Centre is looking for submissions to develop their 100-bed residential centre, to improve the building's in-door and outdoor spaces and build a new multi-functional room on-site. The plan should optimise the centre to support the delivery of the mission work carried by the centre out in the short, medium and long term.
Take Back the City Coalition and Participation and the Practice of Rights (PPR) are looking for submissions from individuals or organisations to engage with Mathew Lloyd Architects to produce a site model of their design of the Mackies site.
An open design competition was ran in 2022 to gather ideas on how to develop the vacant Mackies site in west Belfast.
The deadline for both opportunities is 15 January 2024.
