CITB NI has launched the Spring/Summer heritage training programme 2024.

The programme will encourage training and development within the heritage sector and help address skills shortages within the built heritage sector in Northern Ireland.

Within the programme will be Heritage Joinery, Stonemasonry, Stained Glass and Stone Carving workshops.

CITB NI is working in partnership with Department for Communities Historic Environment Division to deliver this programme which is part of a three year project by CITB NI. The project aims to preserve, develop, and deliver heritage skills supply and training in Northern Ireland to unlock the potential of developing jobs and employment in the construction sector.

The three year project also aims to raise awareness of built heritage, the heritage skills required and promote the preservation and development of traditional crafts and skills.
