Farrans' Community Business Partners have hosted a series of safety workshops at primary schools close to its Project Pipeline sites in County Durham and Tees Valley.
The NI construction firm aims to leave a positive, lasting legacy through education and skills programmes, local supply chain engagement and job creation opportunities.
Karen Alexander from Farrans' Community Business Partner team visited Ingleton Primary School this week to talk to children about important issues such as safety, avoiding accidents and the role of a first aider.
The children in Willow Class learned to recognise important safety signs, and also some of the big pieces of equipment that are being used to create the new water main, which will support supplies for around 200,000 customers.
