Public Consultation Launches On Youghal To Dungarvan Cycle Route

Waterford City and County Council has launched the first public consultation on the Youghal to Dungarvan Cycle Route.

The non-statutory consultation is being launched with the support of Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Cork County Council.

This project aims to provide a safe, connected and attractive cycle route between Youghal and Dungarvan, forming part of a strategic link in the National Cycle Network (NCN).

Identified by the Department of Transport the project is part of the overall 'Cork to Waterford Pathfinder Project'.

The project is currently in Phase 2: Options Selection, which involves the identification

and assessment of potential route corridors within the study area to determine a preferred route option.

Two in-person public consultation events will take place as follows:

• Tuesday 20th February 2024: 14:30-20:00

The Park Hotel, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, X35 CC97

• Wednesday 21st February 2024: 14:30-20:00

The Mall Arts Centre, Mall House Youghal, Co. Cork, P36 FR96

The public can take part in the public consultation from 20 February.
