Kildare County Council has announced that four projects will receive funding from the Historic Structures Fund (HSF) and 15 will be funded through the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS).
Together, these Kildare projects will receive over €324,000 in funding. This funding comes after an announcement by Minister of State with responsibility for Nature, Heritage and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan TD, that a total of 676 heritage projects across every county in Ireland will benefit from €9 million in financial support for conservation projects through the Historic Structures Fund (HSF) and the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) for 2024.
Both conservation programs allocate funds for a range of crucial repairs and delicate conservation efforts aimed at preventing degradation, preserving character and promoting the reuse of protected structures. Additionally, these programs play a vital role in supporting the employment of traditional craftsmen and conservation experts.
