Kildare Launches 2024 Community Recognition Fund

Kildare County Council has announced the launch of the 2024 Community Recognition Fund, valued at more than €830,000.

The Community Recognition Fund 2024 aims to support the development of community infrastructure and facilities for the entire community in recognition of the contribution being made by communities across the country in welcoming and hosting significant numbers of arrivals from Ukraine and other countries.

Funding of or enhancements to existing sports clubs, play facilities, recreational areas, walking amenities, local transport and more are eligible for funding under the Community Recognition Fund.

Full details of the scheme are available at www.kildarecoco.ie which sets out the eligibility criteria and how to submit an expression of interest. The expression of interest process will be competitive and applications from areas that have the highest number of arrivals from Ukraine and other countries will be deemed eligible.
