Kildare County Council has launched a public consultation on the Monasterevin Local Area Plan.
This plan will set out an overarching land use strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of Monasterevin over the lifetime of the Plan from 2025 to 2031.
A framework will be included in the plan which will be used for guiding the future development of employment, transportation, housing, community infrastructure and retail and for protecting the town's unique natural and built heritage.
In order to encourage public participation, an Issues Paper has been prepared which sets out the key planning issues pertaining to Monasterevin.
A 'drop-in' event is set to take place at the Monasterevin Council Hall, Main Street, Monasterevin from 4pm to 8pm on 16 May 2024. Submissions are invited from interested parties in relation to the Issues Paper over the next 6-week period, to be made before 4pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024.
