Contractors have commenced work on a £450,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme on the B160 Ballinderry Bridge Road in Ballinderry.
The works will take place from Drumenny Road to No.122 Ballinderry Bridge Road at Church Hill.
In order to facilitate the works a road closure from Drumenny Road to Ballygillen Road, will be implemented between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm until Friday 31 May 2024.
During these times, signed diversionary routes will be in place via B160 Shore Road, B18 Ballyneill Road, B181 Ruskey Road, B73 Bridgend Road / Hannover Square, Coagh and vice versa.
Infrastructure Minister, John O'Dowd said: "This substantial investment for the Ballinderry area will deliver significant benefits for residents and road users and demonstrates my commitment to improving our road network, which is vital for connecting our businesses and communities. This work which will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the road network is expected to be substantially completed by 31 May 2024. I would like to thank residents, local businesses and commuters for their patience while this essential infrastructure work is carried out."
Works are expected to be substantially complete by 31 May 2024.
