Construction Works To Commence In Killarney

Kerry County Council has announced that construction works are set to start on new footpaths and cycle lanes at Rock Road in Killarney on 22 April 2024.

The projects contribute to the overall improvements of footpaths and cycle lanes along Rock Road, spanning from the Cleeny Roundabout to the Bus and Car Park. Completion of the works is anticipated within a three-month timeframe.

In order to facilitate the works a one-way system will be in place on Rock road for the duration of these works. Entry to Rock road from Cleeny roundabout will be prohibited from 8:00am to 6:30pm daily on weekdays from Wednesday, 24 April. Diversion signage will be in place directing traffic via the Bypass to Lewis Road for traffic going into the town centre and via Hans Liebherr Road to St Margaret's Road and New Road for Rock Road.
