Resurfacing Scheme To Begin In Royal Hillsborough

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has announced that a £381,000 carriageway and footway resurfacing scheme on B177 Dromore Road, Royal Hillsborough is set to begin.

The scheme which commences on Monday 22 April 2024 will cover a stretch of 1200 metres to the Edentrillick Road junction and will deliver significant benefits for road users and will assist pedestrians.

In order to facilitate the scheme weekday road closures will be in place between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm for the duration of the works along this stretch from 22 April 2024 until 10 May 2024, from 20 May 2024 until 5 July 2024 and from 22 July 2024 until 2 August 2024.

During periods of closure a diversion will operate via A1 - Hillsborough Road, Dromore - B2 Ballynahinch Road and vice versa.

The works are expected to be substantially complete by Friday 2 August 2024.
