Kildare County Council is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 Local Improvement Scheme, supported by the Government's allocation of €1,074,515 for the upcoming two years.
Minister Humphreys' announced the scheme which aims to improve non-public roads, but there have been several changes to the eligibility criteria.
The changes include:
•only one parcel of land serviced by the road needs to be engaged in agricultural activities
•In addition, amenity roads leading to important community amenities such as graveyards and tourist attractions are also eligible
To qualify for funding, applicants must review the scheme's guidelines to assess their eligibility and submit their application for review by Friday 24 May 2024.
